September 2023 Expansion Update
Our new office and training room addition is quickly taking shape. MEP rough-ins are almost complete with RTUs sitting on the roof. Drywall, exterior EIFS, and interior finishes are starting, so our highly anticipated move-in is fast approaching. We can’t wait to see the finished facility and start utilizing it with our employees.

The Safety Champion for the month of September is Adam Ruddle! Adam was nominated for consistently practicing good safe work habits and always wearing his PPE. Thank you, Adam, for your commitment to workplace safety and for setting a good example for others.
Employee Spotlight – Sam Brown
Today we want to spotlight one of our Service Field Supervisors, Sam Brown! Sam started with us back in 2006 as an HVAC Technician’s Helper and has been invaluable to our team ever since. He was first drawn to the HVAC trade after speaking with an instructor at a career day event and enjoys the problem-solving aspect of the job. His favorite part is getting to work on different projects and pushing himself to learn new things with each task.
September 2023 Worlds of Work
Over three thousand students attended this year’s Worlds of Work event at Shenandoah University and we were so excited to participate in the event! Worlds of Work allows middle school-aged students to visit and interact with local businesses and public services to explore available career paths. The expo is designed to be a fun and interactive way for them to gather information about skills and education required for careers in industries they may wish to pursue. This event in particular saw students attend from Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren counties, as well as the City of Winchester.
2023 September Safety Breakfast & Learn
Fall protection was the highlight of our training earlier this month as we hosted another Safety Breakfast and Learn event in Mt. Crawford. Thank you to all the RBI employees who came out and participated. We are proud to continue hosting these events to help reinforce safe work habits.
August 2023 Expansion Update
Our new training room and office addition continue to take shape! Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical rough-ins have started as well as exterior sheathing and roofing. The building will soon be dried in before starting on interior finishes. Just a few more months before we hope to open the space to our employees!

2023 Tools for Schools Event
This year’s Tools for Schools event with United Way of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County was another huge success! Many of our employees donated school supplies to be given to Harrisonburg and Rockingham County students in advance of the new school year. Karen Powell, Luke Anderson, Hunter Christy, and Shara Lotts also volunteered their time to…
Happy Retirement, Peedle!
Happy retirement wishes go out to long-time RBI team member, Richard (Peedle) Wood! Peedle recently retired after working with RBI for 25 years. Throughout his career, he has worked side-by-side with almost every employee in the field, always giving 100% every day. Lunch breaks with Peedle could boost the morale of an entire job site, and his stories were shared by all. Peedle also coined lots of new words over the years that we lovingly referred to as Peedleisms. Some of our favorites are, “commalogical” which translates to the most practical way to do something, and “cosha’’ which means OSHA compliant.
Our Team Helping at Generations Crossing
Members of our service team had a great time helping out with some projects at Generations Crossing earlier this month! Wayne, Jim, Mike, RJ, Anthony, and Robin were able to help install new blinds, replace light bulbs and faucets, and even completed some shingle repairs on the roof. Thank you, Generations Crossing, for thinking of…
